This epic proxy is designed by 3DArtGuy, and inspired by Sanguinius, Primarch of the IXth Legion Astartes from the grimdark universe of Warhammer 40k; The Blood Angels. 

Sanguinius is one of the most beloved and tragic Primarchs in Warhammer 40K lore, known as the Angelic Primarch of the Blood Angels Space Marine Chapter. Created by the Emperor of Mankind during the Great Crusade, Sanguinius was scattered to the harsh world of Baal, where he survived among radiation-scarred tribes. Distinguished by his majestic angelic wings and unparalleled grace, Sanguinius was revered as a warrior-saint and symbol of hope.

When the Emperor found him, Sanguinius swore unwavering loyalty and led the IX Legion, the Blood Angels, into countless victorious campaigns. Known for his nobility, charisma, and compassion, he was also a fearsome warrior, wielding weapons like the Blade Encarmine and Spear of Telesto. Despite his beauty and strength, he carried a dark genetic flaw: the Red Thirst, a vampiric craving for bloodshed, which would haunt his Legion forever.

During the Horus Heresy, Sanguinius remained one of the Emperor’s most trusted allies. He foresaw the betrayal of Horus and fought valiantly in the defense of Terra. In the climactic Siege of Terra, Sanguinius boarded Horus’s flagship, the Vengeful Spirit, confronting his corrupted brother in single combat. Despite his legendary prowess, Sanguinius was slain by Horus, his death a pivotal moment that allowed the Emperor to defeat Horus and end the Heresy.

Sanguinius’s sacrifice became the defining legend of the Blood Angels. His death saved humanity but cursed his sons with the Black Rage, a genetic curse that causes them to relive their Primarch’s final moments in berserk fury. Even ten thousand years later, the Blood Angels and their successors worship Sanguinius as a martyred hero and strive to honor his legacy in the grimdark galaxy of Warhammer 40K.

Available as an unpainted 28-32mm (table top) or 145mm (statue) scaled figure.
