Rescue buoys were placed in the English Channel by both sides in World War 2. Moored along the most used flightpaths, they offered dry shelter for downed aircrew. This model depicts the simpler German version. 

Two waterline models of the buoys per pack, in 1:285 (6mm) for seaborne wargames such as Cruel Seas, and 1:350, to add detail to maritime dioramas.
