🎨 ARMY PAINTER TOPAZ DRAGON PAINTING GUIDE (Gemstone & Decay Focus)

Step 1: Base & Zenithal Prime
For a glowing, translucent effect, start with a Black undercoat, then spray Grey and White from above. This creates a natural value map for translucent paints. (Or use your selected undercoat and drybrush up to white.)

Step 2: Translucent Color Layers

• Body & Scales: Use Army Painter "Speedpaint" or thinned "Warcolour Translucent" paints. Mix "Zealot Yellow" , "Sand Golem" , and a touch of "Pallid Bone" over the zenithal base for a rich topaz effect. The pre-shading will show through, creating incredible depth.

• Wing Membranes: Apply a thin layer of "Zealot Yellow" mixed with "Bleached Bone" for a tattered, translucent look.
